Happy 5th Anniversary Austin Simply Fit!

16659066150_1ee6118fc6_kOn Sunday, May 3, Austin Simply Fit celebrated its fifth birthday. In five short years, ASF has risen above Austin’s saturated health and fitness market to make a name for itself both locally and nationally.

It all started when world class powerlifter, entrepreneur and expert fitness trainer, Mark Rogers, opened his first private studio in 2010. Under his direction, the expert training staff at Austin Simply Fit has helped hundreds of people achieve their fitness goals. In fact, in the past two years the number of trainers working at Austin Simply Fit has grown from 7 to 23; the number of weekly workout sessions has increased from 225 per week to 450 per week.

Mark’s methodical approach to fitness is based on more than a decade’s worth of research and training at the high school, collegiate and professional level. “I will not accept mediocrity,” is a motto Rogers requires both his trainers and athletes to embrace.

“We would not be breaking world records and opening new locations if we were not focused and driven,” Rogers said.  It’s been steady growth from the start. Austin Simply Fit opened its second location on South Lamar two years ago and its third location in Leander on April 1.

While 30-minute training sessions pay the bills, it’s Austin Simply Fit’s powerlifting program that’s put it on the map. Earlier this month ten of Austin Simply Fit’s powerlifting athletes lifted a combined total of 11,282 pounds at three powerlifting meets held through the country. The team broke 4 World Records, 8 American World Records and 22 State Records.

ASF has held free community fitness classes at Whole Foods Market and Wheatsville Food Co-Op and partners with local companies like Zen Japanese Food Fast to spread a message of healthy living. Most recently, Austin Simply Fit teamed up with Outright Fitness Springs and Performance Training to launch the True Athlete Games: The Standard in Fitness Competition. The launch of the True Athlete Games in March brought out athletes from across the city including Dane’s Body Shop, Stronghorn Fitness, Impact Fitness and many more.

Next up for ASF? The plan is to continue to grow the number of locations, trainers, clients and PRS!
