A Healthy Twist on a Holiday Classic: Bone Broth Hot Chocolate

‘Tis the season for sipping on a warming treat! 

Give this nourishing, tasty spin on a classic winter drink a try. For those of you who don’t love bone broth, don’t worry, you can hardly taste it in this recipe. 

Bone broth is rich in vitamins and minerals and full of easily usable proteins that support your hormones and thyroid. It also helps protect the gut lining and reduces inflammation! Don’t write it off until you’ve tried it. It’s delicious!

Recipe:

½ cup unflavored bone broth (store bought or homemade)

1 cup whole milk or coconut milk

1.5 tbsp cocoa powder

2 tbsp maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla 

1 tsp cinnamon

Optional 1 scoop of collagen powder (for a little extra protein!)

Whisk ingredients together in a small saucepan over low heat until warm and combined.
