Athlete of the Month

SPORTS PERFORMANCE HIGHLIGHT: Asa Rosenberg

This month’s featured student athlete puts a twist on high school sports! Asa Rosenberg, a sophomore at McCallum, is a gymnast. He has been training hard with Coach Sierra, gaining strength and improving his performance. He is just getting started, and we can’t wait to see where he goes from here!

Here’s what Coach Sierra had to say about Asa:

I’m picking Asa because he’s almost like the quiet assassin. He’s quiet in the gym, but when I see him in his atmosphere (gymnastics) he comes alive and I can see his passion. In the weight room, he comes ready to work and gets his stuff done. He is eager to get better to help him perform in his sport. This is his first time training with weights – all his training in the past was calisthenics. He has improved so much already and has gained some muscle mass, and he’s so young! I’m excited for our journey together.

Asa told us a bit about his training experience:

In what ways has your athletic performance or physique improved? Since I started training with Sierra, my physique and athletic performance have improved with the muscle growth I’ve attained. I’ve definitely noticed my upper chest and legs have become more defined throughout the weeks.

What motivates you to keep training with Sierra? The thing that motivates me to keep training 7 days a week is my desire to keep my body in shape for my entire life. In addition to this, the members and staff at ASF are extremely welcoming and a pleasure to be around.

What are your plans for the future? I’m on the Crenshaw’s Athletic Club Men’s Team.
