Frequently Asked Questions
How does Austin Simply Fit decide who my trainer is?
Our diverse team of trainers offers a plethora of unique skills, experience and education. ASF trainers also complete our rigorous 13-week onboarding program to ensure a standard of excellence on our team, and are qualified to create and implement customized programming designed to meet your specific needs. We will pair you with a trainer who has availability that fits with your schedule to help you stay consistent and reach your goals.
What if my trainer and I are not a right fit?
Our number one goal is the satisfaction and well-being of our clients. We take great care in our interviewing process to only hire qualified trainers who align with Austin Simply Fit’s core values. If you are unsatisfied with your training, we will provide an alternate trainer to better meet your needs. We guarantee you will enjoy the process.
How is our progress tracked?
Your personal trainer will maintain records of your programming – which exercises you did, weight lifted, reps and sets. This is powerful evidence of the strength and skills you will be developing as a client of Austin Simply Fit.
Your trainer will also gather baseline metrics at your initial consultation, including body composition via our InBody machine and blood pressure, and will track these over time at appropriate intervals. We also periodically host local company BodySpec, which provides quick and accurate body composition measurements with a DEXA Scan.
If you sign up for our THRIVE program with Keyspan, you will receive comprehensive blood work every 6 months, which is then used to adjust your vitamin regimen.
Do I pay by session or for a number of sessions with my 1:1 trainer?
Our sessions are sold individually or in packages of 5, 10 or 20 sessions. This empowers you to “rehire” your personal trainer at the end of each package instead of locking you into a membership.
Besides a nutritional diet, is there any other homework for clients to do outside of the training sessions?
We recommend that our clients stay active in the days between their sessions. The best choice of exercise is the one you enjoy and will do consistently. One of the easiest and safest ways to get moving is to go for a walk, every single day.
Our trainers will also prescribe stretches and mobility movements specific to your needs. Using your foam roller, stretching, breathing and moving gently will supplement and greatly enhance your strength training in the gym.

Daniel Taylor is the best trainer in the world! Personable, professional, supportive, responsive, and kind. Excellent taste in footwear. A subtle, conspiratorial sense of humor. By which I mean: it always seems like Daniel’s letting you in on something, but it’s never at the expense of anyone else. I can’t recommend Daniel enough. I’m strong as hell now.
